The Russian Invasion of Ukraine
Seminar von Dr. Eduard Klein an der Jacobs University
On February 24th, the Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” in Ukraine, in order to “de-militarise”, “de-nazify” and to “liberate” the Donbas in Eastern Ukraine. A regional, nearly “frozen” conflict, that simmered in the Donbas since 2014, turned into a full-scale war in entire Ukraine. After more than a month of war, there are already thousands of dead civilians and the country's civilian infrastructure has been severely damaged.
What triggered the war, and what is the current situation in Ukraine?
We are happy to announce that Dr. Eduard Klein, editor of the Ukraine Analytical Digest at the Research Centre for East European Studies at the University of Bremen, will give a lecture about the situation in Ukraine at Jacobs University.
The lecture is open for the public, will be held in the IRC conference room, and will take place at 12:30-13:30 on Thursday, April 7th.
Address: Campus Ring 1, 28759 Bremen
