Knowledge transfer squared - Russian studies

contact: Leonid Klimov

The project is conducted in cooperation with dekoder.org. In 2020-21 the University of Basel, Chair of East European History, Prof. Dr. Frithjof Benjamin Schenk also participated. In 2019/20 the project has received financial support from the Volkswagen Foundation. Afterwards it has been supported by the Swiss "Stiftung für Medienvielfalt".

With the project "Knowledge transfer squared: Russian Studies", the Research Centre for East European Studies at the University of Bremen, in cooperation with the Grimme Online award-winner "dekoder.org" and the University of Basel wants to make academic studies of the subject part of the (media) discourse and to increase public awareness of Russia-related issues. To this end, innovative (multi-)media formats are being developed and tested for the purpose of online knowledge transfer, in order to reach specific target groups in a more efficient and convincing way.

The project has started to publish multi-lingual multi-media dossiers, some of which have an English version:

"Putin - 20 years. The President's words"

"Protest in Russia"

"The Crimean Archipelago"

The full project output is availabel only in the German version.
